I Like Guns…..But Not Stupid Aussies for Gun Control!

Dear Readers,

I first posted a video by Australian Steve Lee  entitled “I Like Guns” because I though it was a fun video that showed guns could be “fun” and that it is “OK” to like guns.

However, regular reader “Clark” brought to my attention that Mr. Lee has praised the draconian Australian gun laws, and thinks they have “done a good job” of preventing the “wrong people” from getting guns.  Also, Mr. Lee seems to like guns only as toys, or as something pretty with their “polished wood.”  He has expressed absolutely ZERO interest in their real value – as tools for defense and in fighting tyranny!

Regular readers should know by now that FoundingFather1776 researches EVERYTHING.  I want to know the truth.  Well Clark was right.  Here is a direct link to the video and the interview where Mr. Lee reveals his statist views that are in perfect compliance with the official tyranny Australians are forced to live under:

http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=en-AU&brand=ninemsn&vid=b5fac818-b464-4151-9e21-51731c434f38

In the interest of fairness, I thought this would be a good opportunity to point out that not all Australians are boot-licking tyranny lovers.

In fact, most Americans are completely ignorant of the fact that there was a REAL “Crocodile Dundee” that the Hollywood movies were loosely based on.

When Australia decided to go the way of tyranny and force her law-abiding people to turn in their firearms,  Mr. Rodney William Ansell (aka the real “Crocodile Dundee”) refused to comply with the tyranny.   Australian police attempted to disarm him by force.  A shoot-out occurred, and Mr. Ansell was killed along with an Australian policeman.

Here is his story, written by Vin Suprynowicz and originally published Sept. 19, 2006:

Rodney William Ansell a.k.a "Crocodile Dundee"

A few days ago, the Review-Journal – along with a lot of other metropolitan dailies – gave prominent coverage to the death of Steve Irwin, the popular Australian zookeeper who charmed international audiences with his enthusiastic animal-chasing on the Discovery Network’s Animal Planet channel.

Irwin, widely known as “the Crocodile Hunter,” was killed Monday by a stingray that rose and stabbed him in the chest with its spine while the 44-year-old was at work filming a television segment, swimming at Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Irwin’s enthusiasm was infectious. His manner of death was certainly noteworthy. All doubtless sympathize with his wife and two young children.

Still, Irwin died doing what he loved. And without diminishing his memory or his family’s loss, perhaps we can draw a distinction between a death that is merely unfortunate and fascinating and one that is significant.

It could be an interesting exercise to compare the prominent coverage of Irwin’s death with the slim few paragraphs (at most) devoted by the America news media on or about Aug. 4, 1999, to the death of 44-year-old Rodney William Ansell. The 1988 Australian Northern Territory Man of the Year – so honored in part because he was widely acknowledged to be the real-life character on whom Paul Hogan, Ken Shadie, and John Cornell based their movie character “Crocodile Dundee” – was killed in a shootout with police.

Yes, the circumstances surrounding Ansell’s death took a little more time to put together. The question is: Did anyone in the press ever bother, and if not, why not?

Ansell was just 21 when he became lost for two months in the bush west of Darwin. He’d been on a fishing trip near the mouth of the Victoria River, accompanied only by his two cattle dogs, when his boat was capsized and sunk, possibly by a whale. He managed to board his tender vessel, a small dinghy with only one oar, and retrieve his dogs and a small amount of equipment including his rifle, knives and bedding – but no fresh water.

Alone, far from any shipping lanes, Ansell traveled up the Fitzmaurice River over the next 72 hours, becoming severely dehydrated before finally finding fresh water above the tide line. He then managed to survive for two months by hunting and shooting cattle for food, before being rescued by a small party of drovers. (Presumably it wasn’t their cattle he’d been shooting, or our tale might be much shorter.)

Ansell, blond and bearing an uncanny resemblance to actor Paul Hogan, wrote a book and starred in a documentary about his exploits, both called “To Fight the Wild.” The story sparked the interest of actor Hogan and his co-writers, who scored a major hit with their 1986 film “Crocodile Dundee.”

Seven years ago, Ansell was killed in a shootout with police just south of Darwin. An Australian police sergeant also died. Why?

In a June 2000 essay, physician, author, and Cuban émigré Dr. Miguel Faria asks what was going on in Australia in the late 1990s that could help explain the timing of this famous Australian survivalist shooting it out with authorities:

“Although Ansell was no angel and had had previous run-ins with police, he had been named 1988 Australian Northern Territory Man of the Year for inspiring the movie and putting ‘the Australian Outback on the map,'” Dr. Faria notes.

“What motivated this shooting? In 1996, Australia adopted Draconian gun control laws banning certain guns (60 percent of all firearms), requiring registration of all firearms and licensing of all gun owners. ‘Crocodile Dundee’ believed the police were coming to confiscate his unregistered firearms.

“In Australia today, police can enter your house and search for guns, copy the hard drive of your computer, seize records, and do it all without a search warrant,” Dr. Faria reports. “It’s the law that police can go door to door searching for weapons that have not been surrendered in their much publicized gun buy-back program. They have been using previous registration and firearm license lists to check for lapses and confiscate non-surrendered firearms.”

It all began with the Port Arthur (a Tasmanian resort) tragedy on April 28, 1996, Dr. Faria recalls, “when a crazed assailant opened fire and shot 35 people. Australians were shocked, and the government reacted quickly.

“Draconian gun legislation was passed in the heat of the moment. … As a result of stringent gun laws (really a ban on firearms) in Australia, all semiautomatic firearms (rifles and handguns) are proscribed, including .22-caliber rabbit guns and duck-hunting Remington shotguns. …

“At a cost of $500 million, out of an estimated 7 million firearms (of which 2.8 million were prohibited), only 640,000 guns were surrendered to police. What has been the result? Same as in England. … Crime Down Under has escalated.

“Twelve months after the law was implemented in 1997, there had been a 44 percent increase in armed robberies, an 8.6 percent increase in aggravated assaults, and a 3.2 percent increase in homicides,” reports Dr. Faria, a retired Georgia neurosurgeon who wrote “Medical Warrior” and “Cuba in Revolution: Escape From a Lost Paradise,” and served until recently as editor-in-chief of “The Medical Sentinel,” the journal of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

“That same year in the state of Victoria, there was a 300 percent increase in homicides committed with firearms. The following year, robberies increased almost 60 percent in South Australia. …

“Two years after the ban, there have been further increases in crime: armed robberies by 73 percent; unarmed robberies by 28 percent; kidnappings by 38 percent … according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

“And consider the fact that over the previous 25-year period, Australia had shown a steady decrease both in homicide with firearms and armed robbery – until the ban. …

“The ban on firearms and the disarmament of ordinary Australians has left criminals free to roam the countryside as they please.

“Bandits, of course, kept their guns. … Yet the leftist Australian government has responded by passing more laws; in 1998 Bowie knives and other knives and items including handcuffs were banned.

“Licensing is difficult. Self and family protection is not considered a valid reason to own a firearm. The right to self-defense, like in Great Britain and Canada, is not recognized in Australia. … A way of life has ended. Please, don’t tell me it cannot happen here!”

Did the real-life Crocodile Dundee die because his own government left him with no choice but to “use his guns” – guns which had saved his life – “or lose them”?

If so, why did we hear so little about it? Because many in the press are loath to report the “bad outcomes” of victim disarmament? It certainly doesn’t seem to be because Americans don’t care about the fate of famous, good-looking Australian crocodile hunters.

It’s supposed to be an ok song. I haven’t listened to it yet, and now I probably won’t after reading some bad things said about the guy:

Steve Lee is actually a proponent of government-defined gun control,…

We used to watch ‘Crocodile Dundee’ many times when our kids were young. It was my son’s favourite movie. I had no idea that it was based loosely on a real guy.

The gun control laws in Australia appear to be a travesty! But Canada is not much better, despite your claim that our laws protect us in cases of self-defense.

In fact, quite often people are charged with murder when killing somebody in self-defense. It is extremely difficult to get a gun permit, and impossible to get one for carrying a concealed weapon.

In fact, if you carry anything, including things like a screwdriver, corkscrew, nail-scissors, mace, knitting needles or other items you could use to defend yourself with you for that purpose only, you could be charged with carrying a concealed weapon if you use it and hurt somebody with it! Yes, even if it was self defense.

If the court decides that you used ‘excessive force’ to defend yourself, and hurt or killed your attacker without needing to (in their opinion), you’ll be charged with murder.

If a woman is about to be raped, and uses a weapon for self defense, she may end up with a murder charge if she kills the would-be rapist. If she severely injures him, she might get charged with assault with a weapon, if the judge decides that she used unreasonable force.

Personally, every woman should have the absolute right to kill a man who tries to rape her, period. Who is to say what is reasonable force, when repelling a rapist?

Who makes those crazy laws? I don’t know, but they are not cooked up by people with common sense for sure.

In fact, all those laws in almost every ‘free’ country for gun control, and gun registration are there solely for the purpose of being able to confiscate the guns by private citizens.

As the above article clearly shows, crime goes way up, not down, when ordinary people are disarmed. The lying media has nearly everybody convinced that gun control reduces crime and deaths by shooting.

I’ve tried to show that to some of my kids, but they consider me crazy and firmly believe that guns are the problem, not who carries them. They’ve been brainwashed by our schools. Public schools are nothing but children’s prisons, where they are forcibly kept day after day for the sole purpose of brainwashing them to believe anything the government wants them to believe. Schools have never been about education at all.

  3. Ursa Major Says:

I meant above in the third-last paragraph, ‘for the purpose of being able to confiscate the guns OWNED by private citizens’, of course.

    Hi Colin,

This is weather modification. Best source of info is:

    http://www.cheniere.org/

From what I have been able to determine there is one of these scalar wave emitters in every
capital city in oz, plus tocumwal, halls creek, mackay, alice springs, sth of the gulf, broome and
some town or military base sth east of perth plus I’m convinced they have a portable device that
is used frequently. What is more incredible and unbelievable is the view of the sky from
anywhere within the range of these things when there is the visible action from the electronic
manipulation and/or the aerial onslaught by aircraft. Enjoy the attachment and I’ll send more info
when I have more bandwidth available!

Follow up: Sent: Saturday, January 23, 2010 4:14:44 AM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern

I haven’t altered the pics at all, I used a little app called ZAPGRAB2 for the screen shots below
and they are exactly how they appeared on the website. The files in the attachment were printed
from the webpage using pdf creator. You just have to do one still shot at a time which is why
some of them are 4 files, they loop four in a row on the website radar loop. I also forgot to
mention I have also noticed the same type of image at Halls Creek (BOM site) in WA and in the
    centre of the NT.

What you are looking at are Electromagnetic Scalar Wave Emitters. They can accelerate or
decelerate the spin of weather systems and they also break the clouds up and prevent them
from accumulating preventing precipitation. Scalar waves travel at infinite velocity for a limited
distance. They are used in conjunction with what are known as chemtrails; also known as
persistent contrails, chemtrails are a mixture of barium and alluminium oxide released via aerosol
from aeroplanes. I have attached some pics taken of a chemtrail in Kilsyth when I used to work
there. It seemed that within a week of that low level chemtrail being laid almost everyone in the
industrial estate became sick with some sort of flu. It is also interesting to note, as I have seen
countless planes flying overhead in Melbourne leaving white lines for as far as you can see
which stay there for hours (contrails dissipate in seconds), that these planes fly stealth. You can
see them but you can never hear their engines. I have attached some pic’s which show one
being laid adjacent to another at lower altitude. I have also attached some pic’s of clouds that
have been extremely altered by scalar waves. You can see that what was once one or more
clouds has been turned into a grid of parallel lines. This is far from natural. It is almost like
ripples in the sand from waves on a beach.

Whether or not the images of the scalar wave emitters are visible on the BOM’s website or not is
no indication of whether they are being used or not, it is just an indication of how effective they
have been in filtering out the images of the scalar waves (which are detected by radar) and the
chemtrails from the posted images. In my opinion these things are always on, you rarely see a
cloud that hasn’t been affected to some degree. Even just watching local television I see the
effects of weather modification all over the country. There are scalar affected clouds and
chemtrails on every channel, every news program, every locally made television show, they are
in advertisements and movies. Weather modification is Australia wide and involves the BOM, the
military, obviously the govt and the media. Wonder why we have dumbass weather presenters?
Anybody that knows anything about the weather could look up at any time in any part of the
country and realise that it is being manipulated. A drought has been forced upon this country for
over ten years now and the weather is so strange and obviously different than what it used to be
that anyone with the ability to think for themselves should be able to realise it is being
manipulated just by looking up! This is the most disturbing thing of all; the fact that we have
been manipulated into believing that what is happening above us is normal and that “global
warming” is the cause of this drought. Just by watching the BOM’s radar loop you notice that as
weather systems approach the southern part of the country the clouds seem to dissipate and as
they cross land the rain gets lighter and lighter until there is none by the time the weather
system reaches the west coast. In other places like up near Broome, it sometimes appears to be
pouring with rain and thunderstorms yet there are no clouds at all! On the news’ weather report
they still refer to a cold “front” approaching when we might have “the chance” of rain, however
we never seem to get rain at the “front” of the weather system, it seems to come when the front
has already passed and we are getting the rear of the system. Also, as the”front” passes the
landmass and enters the pacific ocean, huge masses of clouds appear to form that were not
there as the system approached from the east and it is pouring with rain again over the ocean.
They don’t care if it rains out there, they just don’t want any over land. It is also interesting that
when we used to have a “cool change”, it would come when the clouds came over. Not any more.
It becomes overcast and stays like that for up to two days while it is still blowing a hot northerly
wind. I have even noticed hot southerly winds over the past few summers that are absolutely
impossible. In south eastern Australia when we used to have a week of hot weather in the
summer it would always end with a storm and a few inches of rain. The longer the hot spell, the
more intense the storm at the end. Now we get cool changes that aren’t really cool, produce no
rain and the weather returns to hot and sunny immediately afterwards. This isn’t normal, it is a
    total manipulation.

I read the other comments you posted, some interesting opinions there and I would say that what
we are witnessing is definitely no “Tesla shield generator” or even an “experiment”. They know
exactly what they are doing, and I wouldn’t expect any honesty in any response from the BOM as
the amateur meteorologist in the last email posted is expecting.

Anyway there are a couple more links to check out below and I wish you the best in your
investigation. Thank you for posting info on Australian weather mod on your site, it is great to
see some attention being brought to it.

    23 Jan follow up:

    Hi Colin,

I am no meteorologist, just an avid observer of world events.

I’ve been following this subject for a long time and try to inform as many people as will listen
however most people refuse to believe weather mod is possible. Weather mod is not a new
technology; scientists Wilhelm Reich, Walter Russel and Nikola Tesla were experimenting with it
100yrs ago. Furthermore, China have been openly cloud seeding since the 60’s and recently
created a blizzard. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125814710015847539.html It is interesting to
note that in many pictures I have seen from China where they are cloud seeding there are
chemtrails in the same area. Obviously there are a few different parties at work, one trying to
create rain and another preventing it. I believe China has been experiencing its longest drought
    in history also.

There is one story I would also like to add because I think it is important regarding the majority of
people not believing. My father is a farmer and is only one of many that have been adversely
affected by the global weather modification program. I have repeatedly tried to explain to him
what is going on but he refuses to believe they would do it. It was during one of our discussions
that he said to me that in the 1950’s and 60’s the Australian Govt were tracking down people
involved in weather mod and paying them for their research. In the late 60’s (during a drought)
the govt was involved in a PR campaign on cloud seeding which eventuated into an ‘experiment’
that was conducted in the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne. The experiment worked, but only too
well. They seeded so much that a huge area of farmland was flooded and hailstones the size of
golf balls caused huge amounts of damage to property and livestock. Obviously residents were
furious and demanded this never be done again. This event has somehow been erased from
everyone’s memory but could it be this that has moulded the consciousness of the country to
believe that weather mod is science fiction and that the govt would never use it again? Was it
this event that has made people believe that the govt would never intentionally alter the weather
to the detriment of the people and the environment? Australia has been suffering from this
drought for a decade but not once have I heard anyone involved in the public discussion about it
mention that cloud seeding is an option? It is also interesting that, conveniently, water
desalination plants have been popping up all over the country and water pipelines are being
built to provide water to areas like Melbourne which were once rainforest. Seems like some
people had advance knowledge of this longest running drought in history. Recently we have
been hearing that the price of water in Melbourne is expected to increase 200% in the next
12months. How nice for the owners of the desal plants.

All the best Colin. I look forward to the continuing discussion. Oh, and I forgot to mention one
    other website:

    Cheers,
    xxxx Removed.

However, I will say that the laws might be enforced by people with “no common sense” and that they may be agreed to by mindless sheeple, BUT the people that “cook up” the laws designed to make the citizenry helpless know EXACTLY what they are doing!

The Elite scum of the New World Order can’t stand that the American people are armed to the teeth. They will never stop trying to disarm the population and demonize gun ownership. We must never stop opposing them, and we must NEVER allow them to confiscate our weapons; that will be the end of America.

The *first* American Revolution started on April 19, 1775 when the British forces led by General Gage attempted to DISARM the colonists at Lexington Green.

I suspect that the *second* American Revolution will occur when the “government” (which is no longer of the people, by the people and for the people but instead completely controlled by criminal bankers and their lackeys) forgets history and attempts to confiscate our guns again.

Here is a story out of Canada that totally disgusts me. The British commonwealth countries of Canada and Australia have been completely neutered. They are now trying to do so here. They will NOT succeed.

However, I will not be marched off to a FEMA camp for my “safety.” I will not be forcibly vaccinated for “the common good.” I will not stand-by and allow my property to be confiscated or stolen.

Again, let me repost a quote from Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago”

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

As I’ve said before, if I ever manage to get my hands on a gun, I’ll keep it, but will never register it. Of course, the problem with that is, that you have to then illegally get ammunition as well, as they won’t sell it to you without showing your gun permit. Evil bastards.

It would be great if the Clintons would be arrested and jailed, along with many others. But who knows if it is all true.

It seems that no matter what site I go to, the information is originally all from ONE person, whom they all quote. Which seems weird. It is one person’s opinion, and his sources can’t be verified, because they are all endangered if exposed.

Meaning, that we don’t know if it is true or not. Maybe it is, and maybe it isn’t. I am not going to lose sleep over one person’s opinions/disclosures.

I think “Operation Stillpoint” is a mix of fact and fantasy. Yes, most of the economic damage we are all experiencing has been orchestrated, no Geithner has not been arrested. Scanning through it quickly fired off my BS detector several times. George Bush Sr (indeed the entire Bush criminal family) is evil, of course. Clark that reminds me of one utterly ridiculous incident about ten years ago. We have missionary friends in Thailand, who had been on a one-year home assignment, and were now flying back to Thailand with their three children.

The middle child, a boy, was about seven at the time. It is a VERY long flight from Toronto to Bangkok, and the boy had a little backpack full of Legos to keep him happy on the flight.

Because some of those tiny Lego figures had teeny tiny guns (handguns, about 1/4 inch long, maybe less), he was NOT allowed to have the backpack on the plane, and they had to go back and check it to fly in the cargo hold. I don’t know what the poor kid did on his 13 hour flight.

That showed me that sanity had been thrown out the window altogether when it comes to keeping us safe. Mind you, my husband of course didn’t think this utterly ridiculous!

I live in Australia and i can tell you its pretty easy to get a license, time consuming and expensive, but easy. Keeping it however, especially in the case of a pistol license, is a pain in the ass. Because they are classified as “recreational licenses” you have to shoot competitively or risk losing your license, and if you don’t shoot a certain number of times a year (no less than 6 competitions a year i think) you lose it and your firearms are taken off you. I love guns, I’ve been shooting them since i was quite young (under intense supervision by my licensed family members and on rural properties) but i genuinely don’t like shooting competitively, I’m more of a for-fun kinda guy. To top it all off if you get caught with an unlicensed firearm you can, and in most cases will, serve time in jail.

Did you also happen to read that Ansell actually killed a police Sergent before he was shot and killed himself? How about that his behavior prior to the initial shots being fired that was consistent with amphetamine intoxication with restlessness, hypervigilance, anxiety, anger and impaired judgement? He was also affected by a paranoid psychotic state which is typical of chronic amphetamine use as he was a heavy drug user. Yep, that guy should definitely have a gun. Also, there was a lot of skepticism surrounding his story about getting stranded in the wilds of the Outback. Apparently, there was a town just down river but he went the opposite way. Sorry, this guy is not a good argument for guns.

p.s. He was actually pursued as part of a manhunt for an attacker who shot at two residences the night before. Yeah, that guy who you are saying should have the right to have a gun but was shooting at innocent people. Where are you getting your facts?

So the “Real” Crocodile Dundee got what he deserved? Great.

Am I understanding you correctly that you think it is a good thing the law-abiding citizens of Australia have been disarmed?
